Troy (Rejected)

Since Sendspace is working so awesome, I'm on a roll of offerings. Today (at least in the US), as we rest our weary bellies from holiday gorging, or prepare to face the battle of Black Friday Christmas shopping, I present to you all the superior rejected score to 2004's Troy, composed by Gabriel Yared (Cold Mountain, The Talented Mr. Ripley). Various editions of this score have been floating around the internet since the film's release, all incomplete, or poorly compressed. I recieved this through trades, from the original promo CD, and the difference in sound quality is awesome. Great score, far better than James Horner's work that's featured in the film (although Horner's score is still awesome), I highly recommend everyone check this out.

Gorgeous score to the 2005 wuxia epic, Wu Ji / The Promise, composed by Klaus Badelt (Pirates of the Caribbean · The Curse of the Black Pearl, The Recruit). One of my favorite movies of all time, and one of my favorite scores. Huge, romantic, sweeping melodies. Just amazing. Don't miss this, it's an essential item for your collection.

It's been a couple of weeks, and after some internet issues and drama drama drama, I once again return to deliver the goods. Hellraiser: The Chronicles, a three CD boxset containing remastered editions of the scores from the first three films in the series, Hellraiser, Hellbound: Hellraiser II, and Hellraiser III: Hell On Earth. Limited to 3000 copies and extremely out of print, this is quite a large upload, so I'm going to offer them individually, starting with the score to the original film. I'll be offering the other scores tomorrow and Friday.

Score to Michael Ritchie's 1980 pirate thriller, The Island, composed by our lord and savior Ennio Morricone. Another excellent Morricone score, with many wonderful cues and melodies. This rip comes from my CD released through Varese Sarabande's CD Club in a limited edition of 1000 copies, which sold out the day it became available.

Score to Brian DePalma's excellent 1980 psuedo-giallo, Dressed to Kill, composed by Pino Donaggio (Carrie, The Howling). I snagged this title through trades, and while my rip is not from the original CD, I personally think that it sounds excellent and very listenable.

Psychoplasmica Returns

Greetings and salutations, my friends! And welcome to House of Colonel Angus, located deep in the shady thickets of the internet. Welcome back to all my friends from my previous home, Psychoplasmica, and thank you all for following me to my new residence. Although there were many attempts, you just can't keep me down. Psychoplasmica (RIP) has now returned, in this wonderful Blogspot flavor, with a shiny new package, name and snappy design.

For those who tried to keep me down, you can sniff my musty groin region, as I will always come back, and like Obi-Wan, each time I'll be stronger than before.

Before I start with my offerings, I'm setting a few simples rules to make things a little easier for everyone, and to keep my sanity.

1) I will only rip CDs in --alt-preset standard using Exact Audio Copy (Secure Mode) and lame 3.90.3. Regardless what some people might think, that is indeed the highest possible quality with the lowest possible file size, and you won't find higher quality mp3s anywhere else on the internet.

2) I will only use Rapidshare for my file hosting needs. I'm sorry, but I can't assist you with problems regarding that site, you'll have to figure it out for yourself. I use WinRar for my compression needs. Like Rapidshare, I can't assist you on problems, and you'll have to figure it out yourself.

3) This blog is in English, and I would request that all my foreign friends post in this language. I can't fulfill your requests if you send me emails and comments in Portugese, Greek, or Swedish.

4) If you take my links and post them elsewhere, I would prefer that you at least give me credit, and that you send me a link to the site it's at. Thank you.

5) If you download something from me, and this is really important, please comment and say "Thanks!". That's all you need to do. You would be amazed at how nice it feels to have someone simply say "Thank you for your efforts".
